BRIAN MCCLOSKEY
(SJP '91)
Director of Rugby
Brian was one of the founding members of the Prep Rugby program in 2005. Having played at Fairfield University, Brian was passionate not only about the sport of rugby but also the lessons it teaches. Until recently, Brian served as the head coach for the program and remains heavily involved in maintaining the guiding principles for the entire Rugby program. Brian has had one son come through the Prep Rugby program (Garrett '21)

TOM DUGAN
(SJP '78)
Head Coach
Tom Dugan (SJP ’78) was a member of the 1977 City Championship Football Team and founded the Prep Football Alumni Association which he has chaired from 2003 to 2013. Shortly after leaving the Prep, Coach Dugan started playing rugby in Division 1 and Division 2 leagues for the next 20 years until he retired in 1998. After retiring, he became a USA Rugby Certified Referee and started as an assistant coach for the Prep Rugby Team in 2008. He became a full-time assistant coach in 2010 and has recently taken on head coaching responsibilities for the program.  Coach Dugan has had one son come through the Prep Rugby Program and another as a Prep Lacrosse player.

BRIAN DUNBAR
Coach
Began playing rugby for Wilmington Rugby Club in 1988.
Played Division 1 and division 2 men’s rugby with Media Rugby Club, Philadelphia Whitemarsh Rugby Club, Hibernians Rugby Club, Brandywine Rugby Club,
Played Super League Rugby with Philadelphia Whitemarsh Rugby Club.
Represented The United States in The 1996 Tertiary Student Rugby League World Cup.
Played for Atlantis Sevens Rugby.
Played college rugby at West Chester University.
Represented The Eastern Pennsylvania Rugby Union in both college and men’s rugby.
Forwards Coach at University of Pennsylvania.
Forwards Coach and Head Coach at Unionville High School.
Certified 300 level USA rugby coach.
Certified Eastern Pennsylvania Referee Society Referee.
Forwards Coach at The Prep since 2018.

MARK CRAVEN
Coach
Mark has been working with the Prep Rugby team since 2012. Â Training both Varsity and JV players, he has worked with both forwards and backs. Â Coach Craven had one son come through the Prep Rugby Program who currently plays at Catholic University.

Jamison played Prep Rugby and at Fairfield University and served as an Alumni Service Corp member at the Prep through the 2018-2019 school year and is now a full-time member of the SJP Development Staff.

BILL GREGORY
(SJP '73)
Coach
Bill played Rugby for Philadelphia Rugby Club and was one of the original coaches when the Prep Rugby program started in 2005. His son played Prep Rugby and later played at Scranton University where Bill was the head coach for about 10 years.

JEFF PRESTON
Jeff was a long time player of Rugby and represented the USA in both Rugby League and Rugby Union. Jeff also was the head coach for Msgr Bonner for many years and led them to a State Championship in RugbyPA's inaugural season.
PATTI FREY
Coach
Patti is the Director of Development for SJP. Patti started playing Rugby in college (AZ) and has been inducted as a member of the Hall of Fame for the Philadelphia Womens Rugby Club where she played 2nd Row.
